Norfolk, Va. - (June 2009) - Who's Your Shero (your female hero?) skirt! Magazine Hampton Roads and The Rotunda want to meet you at the first 2009 skirt! Shero Party to be held on Thursday, June 11th from 5:30pm to 7:30 pm at The Rotunda in Norfolk.
This event will celebrate the many unsung heroines that make up our community throughout Hampton Roads. The Rotunda will offer Rotundatinis, Shero Punch, bar bites, skirt! T-shirts and prizes for our Shero profiles and other Shero guests in their Penthouse venue.
skirt! asked readers in our March issue to nominate their favorite female hero in 50 words. Four women were chosen and are currently profiled in the June 2009 issue. With an overwhelming response of Shero nominations, skirt! and The Rotunda decided to celebrate all who participated and invite readers to bring a guest who inspires. Anchor Regina Mobley of WVEC TV 13 and Hear Say 89.5 WHRV and What Matters WHRO 15 Host Cathy Lewis will recognize the four profiles and share their personal Sheroes with guests. The event is free and open to the public.
